I had a brand new torque wrench from sears,3/8 drive 13" long up to 250 lbs...DID NOT work at all.I tried in a vice at 20 lbs, clicked with my pinky.40 same,80 same,250 for fun, took two fingers.Got a new from sears, same bloody thing again.A new warrany one is one the way so I"ll see what happens,3rd time lucky maybe.Anyone else have this problem.

I agree with TO. If it"s only 13 in long 3/8 drive, I bet it"s inch/lbs. 20, 40 in/lbs is very light. 80 is only 6 1/2 ft lbs, and 250 is a little over 20 ft/lbs. A 13 in wrench would be pretty useless at 250 ft/lbs unless you got a 2 ft cheater bar. You"d more than likely snap the 3/8 head off it. Good Luck Brokenwrench

3/8 is only in lbs if I remember correctly. 1/2" is foot pounds.
