Hi guys, has anyone ever had a problem with a dewalt drill with the trigger sticking? I have a 18v cordless and sometimes I start drilling and all of a sudden the trigger gets stuck on the on position, at that point I have to wack the trigger area with the back of my scrwedriver to release it, any Ideas of what I gonna look for If I have to take it apart?
Jay.

I had a problem where it would hang up when I tried to pull on the trigger. It was a plastic burr on the plastic reversing plunger. I took it apart and located the problem and cut off the plastic interference and it has been good since. Never had one hang up while energized though.

Most likely a bad trigger assy. Does it have an on lock button? Check that too. Might be full of crud making it stick. Not much to fix in the switches of most new tools. More a matter of replacing the bad component.
