I'm dealing on a '95 Chevy 2500 Heavy Duty 4x4 with 4.10 gear ratio. The truck is 400+ miles from here. What's the best gas mileage I can hope for on the drive home? Thanks, Glenn F.

I would say you should get around 15 to 17 if it has the 5.7 L. If it has the 7.4 L 13 is the best it will do with the key on.

Yes, it's got the 5.7 with automatic transmission. 15-17 sounds good.

With those 4.10 gears I would not expect much better than 10 to 12 mpg. I had a '98 with the 3.73 gears and 5 spd. manual that would get 15 to 18.

I'd agree with Rusty here. Those 4.10's will knock the mileage down quite a bit(unless of course it has tires alot taller than stock).

I had a '93 2500HD with the 5.7 and 5speed manual with 3.73's. Very best it ever got was 17, usually 15-16 or so unloaded.

For what it's worth, my brother had an identical one(we bought them both new at the same time) except his had 3.42's and the 6.5 diesel. He'd get 21-22 unloaded and could outpull mine loaded to boot...
