Quincy Compressor 310

I have a Quincy 310"22" that recently started having a problem. I know nothing about compressor's so hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. Starting about a month ago I am getting what looks like water in the oil. The compressor has to run for a couple of days before it becomes noticeable. The compressor still seems to function the same as it always has, it doesn't seem to take any longer to get to pressure, nor is it making any new noises.

Any info appreciated.

You don't say, but I assume you changed the oil and the water (milky look) came right back, correct? If this is so, I'd change the oil again, could be you didn't get all of the contaminates out last drain. My compressor oil began looking milky thru the sight glass and I changed it, seems to be OK now, so I guess I need to change more often.

Has your climate changed? is is more humid than it has been? could be normal. Oil is cheap, I think I keep changing it and see if it goes away.

You assumption is correct. I changes it a couple of times actually and each time it came back. Climate hasn't changed. Summers here are humid but not excessively so.. It was just strange that it started "suddenly", I've owned it for a number of years and had never seen this happen..now it seems to happen every time after a couple of days use. I had thought it might be the rings but if that was the case I would have expected a change in performance..
