Tried the system. Works great on small parts. To use for large parts could I use a stainless steel tank for the container and charge it with one wire and the other wire on the parts and hang so they don't touch the tank? Thinking an old milk tank.

The instructions I have read warn against using stainless steel because it turns the sludge into toxic waste. Probably the chrome and other metals in the alloy.

The only problem using the tank is that it will begin to rapidly corrode to nothing. Also don't create a large tank inside a building. Another product of electrolysis it Hydrogen and Oxygen gas.

Many years ago when I first heard of this the first rule on the list was DO NOT do this indoors.

I learned about the gas the hard way. I had a bucket of it cooking in the barn for a few days. Opened the door and unhooked the battery charger and it sparked. It made a hell of a flash! Didnt do any damage but was enough to wake me up. Now I only do it outside so be careful.
