Just checked here local [lewistion id.] Their are paying $ 80.00 a ton and thats 3ft. and not under a 1/4 thick. This seems a little cheap to me. I just wonder what prices are elswhere? I was going to haul a load their untill, the price won't hardly pay for fuel.

MPH,

I heard rumors it's worth it to run scrap up to Moscow, but I don't know first hand.

I have an electrician friend who takes everything to Clarkston because the prices are better.

Haul a couple of aluminum LC bleachers after NAIA and I'm sure you could get big bucks!

I just brought some tin to our sfcrap dealer and got .05/ lb. Guess that figures out to $100/ton. Solid scrap is ussually about .025 higher.

Dekalb, IL (50 miles west of Chicago)

I go to a yard that give 85 dollars a ton, no matter what kind of metal it is.
