I assume you mean the regular and not 3PH
type. I use the Red Lion with a 3.5 hp motor. You
can get them at home depot. You'll need the gas motor for isolated areas. I have the mixer rigged for electric or gas. Make sure you have at least 1/2 hp electric. I find that it is better to make your own support rod because they turn a little too fast for mixing. My rod has 6 notches to give me 6 mixing angles, 2 above and 4 below the standard bucket angle. This makes up for the speed. If your going to lower the angle, you'll have
to grease more often as it's a little harder on the bearing, but the shaft can take the added
torque as I have made a few walkways and a 20X20
ft slab so far without problems or wear.

If you want to mix mortar, go with a paddle type mortar mixer. If you are going to mix concrete, use a drum type concrete mixer. Agrigate will bust the paddles out of a mortar mixer quick, and they're a pain to repair.
