I split my 2010 john deere row crop,to replace the clutch assembly, also ground the flywheel. Now I am trying to slide it back together and I am 3/4 of an inch away. I assume(which will get me in trouble) that I am not lining up with the pilot bearing? Is there a trick to lining these back up? Is there a anlignment tool like the cars have? Or one of my afterthoughts, is the clutch plate lined up??? any advice would be appreciated!!!

You need to align the clutch plate, while tightening it to the flywheel, just like on a car, and you can bar the engine over, so the pilot shaft and PTO drive splines align, and slide together.

And, don't force the halves together... it will slip together easy, once everything is lined up.
