A couple Christmas's ago I told my wife I wanted a chain saw from Santa. She went to Wal-mart and came home with a Snapper saw.

I'd never heard of such a thing. It's a nice saw for what I need it for. A friend of mine was showing me his Sears chainsaw.....the two are IDENTICAL exept for the paint. Who makes these little fellers ??

( please don't say MTD LOL!!)

I don't want to bust your bubble, but about 4 years ago I bought a string trimmer at wal-Mart. It was a snapper so when I needed parts I went a to Snapper dealer and got laughted at they don't carry parts for them, he said they don't have anything to do with them. I never did find any parts for it.

You have a red Poulan saw, not a bad saw, but not as good as the Poulan Pro saws, but for occasional use, they are a good saw.

So, by default, Since Husqvarna owns Poulan, and Electrolux owns Husquvarna - them saws are made by a vacumn cleaner outfit - THAT"S why they su*k!
LOL!

Sorry - just kidding, I couldn't resist -

A friend sells the Returns from many companies at a local Flea Market. Often he has both Craftsman & Poulan saws... they are identical, except the color.

Well...I sorta figured that..but wasn't sure. If Poulan makes Craftsman then they must make Snapper also ...like I said ...they are just alike. Thanks for your help !!

Not sure but it kind of looks like a Poulan with the gas fill on the side in the back so you have to lay it on it's side to fill with gas.

Poulan has made the Craftsman chainsaws since at least 1977, that's when I got my first one.
