Bench sander rumbling...

My Delta bench sander is 11 years old. I use it a lot; it started rumbling a year or two ago and is getting worse so I tore it apart this morning. One bushing on the front belt idler is spinning in the housing; that was fixable - but, discovered that the bushing on the pulley end of the motor is also spinning in the housing. That is where the rumble is coming from; new motor is the only fix for it. I'll probably run it until it quits, then get a new bench sander.

Tried neighbor's new Ryobi; doesn't have near as much power as the Delta.

you sure it's bad enough that the loctite for bushings wouldn't hold it? That stuff is pretty amazing, especially if you knurl the outside of the bushing. Or, if you know anyone with a lathe, you could get the housing machined out and make an oversized bushing.
