My new last year,Porter-Cable air compressor has regulator that is blocked or stuck open. Of course the plastic handle(pull out to change ,push in to lock) appears to be non servicable. Any one know how to dis-assemble and clean? It just whistles now ,and the compressor runs almost continuous to keep up. Thanls, Kent.

These cheep plastic ones have a little pin in the side of that screw cap. The one with all of the grip bars so you can turn it. The pin is near the bottom and if you take a small screw driver and gently slide it up under the lip you can just move it out a little. Then you can unscrew the top and clean out any dirt. Most of these have a sprig and a metal disk. They are cheep enough to go buy a new one for maybe $20.00 at lowes or depot. Local air repair store will have them too. Have fun Jeffcat
