In my last post I mentioned I'm starting a pole barn. I leveled a spot last weelend with my Massey and fould I'm going to need about a foot and a half of gravel to level it back to grade. Has anyone used or heard of using compacted "road Grind" the stuff they grind off the highway when resurfacing, under your slab instead of gravel or runnin crush?

Great Grandpa was one, Grandpas (all 3) were, Father wasn't one (bad heart). Dad was one, I'm not (lost part of thumb). Never took an interest.

The recycled asphalt pavement would work great but most contractors recycle it back into the pavement so they don't have to use as much liquid asphalt which is derived from crude oil. A crushed stone would be a better choice.

I think it would work great, but a waste of a good product. I'd rather buy fill and use the road grind on a driveway.
