mig welder question

just bought a used hansen 160 mig welder. 220v. it has a heat knob and a wire speed knob. below those are three knobs, that can be set from one to 7. the top knob has a design ___--___ the second knob is sort of --__-- the third knob has a .t there is a slide switch to the right to select any of the three. what does this do and how should i set these. i am welding mild steel with 035 wire and 75-25 gas. thanks glenn

Hi Glennster,

Hungarian made MIG welders sold by HTP America have controls for stitch and spot welding. Your welder might have similar capabilities. The symbols on the top two knobs might represent the pulsing pattern of the current, or even of the wire itself. The t symbol would be for something else. Glad I could help. Ask any time. (I wasn't going to respond initially, having so little useful information. When I saw that you weren't getting any answers, I thought I might as well put my guess out there, then someone will correct me and you'll have your answer.)
