The plastic pipe inserts to direct the spray, why do they not last as long as the can of spray on which they arrived? == I have collecte swizzle sticks all over the world ... seeking a replacement pipe ... but none of them fit.

SUGGEST the manufacturer attach several of these cheap little necessities to one can. Or, change to an internationally accepted standard diameter for all swizzle sticks so a replacement can be obtained at any beverage counter. Or, provide repellant to keep away the mean little people that steal pipes in the dark of the night....

===== == Am I alone with this problem?

It's funny this post came up. I just noticed the last can[have not used it yet] of WD40 that I got has a rubber piece on it to hold the red plastic straw if it gets knocked off. I believe it is a shorter straw also.

You could just buy cans that have a jet spray cap on them and save a few caps and forget those silly straws. If it is WD-40 as someone else brought up, throw the full cans away an go find a product called PB Blaster. Once you try it you will never use WD-40 again.

Like most of you I have the same problem keeping up with those plastic pipes so I contacted WD-40s customer service department and they sent me a small package containing several. I'm sure they would do the same for you.

You can send this idea to one of those tractor tips and make money if you want.

When you get a new can of spray with the little tube, cut the tube into small pieces. I cut mine about 1" long. You will find that the shorter tubes do not get knocked off as easy. You will also have some spares.

I must have 25 extra caps and spray tubes as I save them whenever a can is used up. Cutting them in shorter lengths sounds like a great idea. Most times you don't need the full length and that excess length is why they get knocked off so often. Save a few long ones for the really hard to reach spots.
