I have some rocker arms on my WC that are eroded on the valve end, can these be built-up with welding . If so, what AC rod would I use, and any special pre or post heat needed? Would I need to temper the ends? TNX Dee

Take the rocker arms to your local machine shop that grinds valves. Most good valve grinding machines have an attachment to gring the proper radius on rocker arms.

If the rocker arms are sheet steel brazed together, welding could make them come apart. If they are cast, welding would require "cast iron" rod and may cause cracking or failure. If not not "too bad" just grind the ends to original contour to properly interface with the valve, the adjusters have plenty of "take up". Good luck, have fun, Gordon in IN
