I'm fixing up an old Western Auto Wizard rear tine tiller and would love to find some info on it. I'm curious about adjusting the belts. I'll eventually figure it out but you never know what kind of info you might find on the web. It had a model number GIS 2122 A78 if anyone can point me to any info I'd appreciate it.

Hi Chris,

From years of adjusting all kinds of belts, it's pretty common to see 1/4" to 1/2" deflection in the center of the belt span with moderate thumb pressure.

Thanks T_Bone. Interestingly enough I did some googles on the model number after posting this question not expecting to find anything. I got 2 hits. Not bad. What"s astounding is they were both from posts on Yesterday"s Tractors! I took a look at the posts from several years back and seems there are quite a few people with these tillers and someone had a manual they were sending copies of to folks back then. I"m not really ready to ask anyone to do that for me yet but at least I know a few folks to contact if I need assistance now. I also did learn mine is now supported by Toro dealers. I wish there was one closer to me than they are but at least I know where they are.
