Is there any more info you can give us?
Is there a data plate still attached that is readable?
So the power and neutral goes only to the red and yellow and the black and green are simply connected together?
Could you confirm this?
Does the motor start and work good at this time?

the red and yellow are connected ,, and the black and green are connected together, The motor runs fine now on 110 the only chart is for dual voltage .I am Building a Disc sander it will work this way,,,,, but would be alot better if it ran the other way .The way it is made I coonot see where the wires go ,,the hole is on the side of the motor ,and cannot see for sure where each one go

May not be able to unless you take it to a motor shop. Any good motor shop can change it.

here is some more info on motor,,it says type RA
model c235 k3783 it says 240 on motor maybe it is not meant to be run on 110?? there is no way to get to the wires on the inside unless you take the hole end off ?? plate on back does not allow access to wires..

This is to simple. Simply reverse the start windings, they are easy to identify as they are the wires that are in series with the capacitor.

Good Luck and N-JOY!!!!! !!!!

The split-phase or capacitor-start types of single-phase, dual-voltage, motors need six leads to be able to change rotation.

An old Wagner, hmmm.

Does it have brushes, with an adjustable brush holder? If so, rotation changing is done by moving the brush holder to the other side of the "neutral" or center position.

ex,

That's what I was wondering, too, if it's not a repulsion-induction motor.

I hope he checks it out, to see if it has brushes, and posts back.

My Grainger Dayton drill press has a 110V single phase reversable motor. As installed on the drill press it was only wired for normal rotation for drilling, but the switch was damaged and a friend gave me a Square D fwd/off/rev drum switch and I discovered the wiring diagram on the motor showed the wiring for both directions. Now I have a reverseable drill press.

You cannot do this with just any electric motor, on a regular single phase motor it has to have the windings and terminals to allow for the reversing. I suspect you are out of luck on this one.

Hi Dave From my experience you can only reverse the direction if it is 240 volts or more and 3 phase.I work in a plastic injection molding operation, 25 yrs. I will check on monday with the electrican to see if he has any ideas. With 3phase you can change it by changing any 2 wires around other than the green ground wire. Will get back to you. Lester

If it's single phase and if you can access both leads heading off to the start windings. She can be reversed. I just use a 4 way light switch in the start winding circuit to swap rotation on the drill press, barn air fans etc..
