If you happen to own a 18 volt Dewalt, and find a 18 volt Black and Decker for the right money, they are interchangable. Usually half price. If you take a sharp knife and cut the little plastic 1/8" key off. Perhaps not what you are supposed to do, but it sure has been working well for us. If I had to down grade the DeWalt battery tools I would say we have had plenty of problems with the battery release latches. I perhaps must add that the guy's give them the acid treatment from time to time, and I'm willing to guess that sometimes they do not call it to my attention. I have been tempted to replace the cells many times, but it is one of those jobs that I would probably never get around to. Thanks guy's there are some pretty good posts here. Dave NE IA

I havent heard of that. If Milwaukee was working on that, I would know, since I work for them.

It was a joke, 120V is already on the end of extension cords. The battery voltages just go higher and higher, where will they peak out at?120V?

S-W-E-E-T-!

There is a link for a sweepstakes on there.

I like Milwaukee. I also like, Jet, Dewalt, Bosch, and Makita. Where does it end?

In the registration for the sweepstakes its asks you how many powertools do you own. I counted up way more than I thought I had. I own at least 24 power tools and work in an office, go figure.

Van, I'm like a kid in a candy store. I must try to guess what a battery will cost. I purchased a Bostitch 20.4 volt electric roofing nail gun. Probably $300.00 and used it a little one summer. Then I went to replace the batteries--$176.00 each. There are two that were in the original $300.00 purchase. They can bite me now big time with all there tools now. Dave NE IA
