I bought a cutting torch setup yesterday at an estate sale of a guy that used to work as a bodyman at the local Ford dealership. It came with 2 torch handles and 2 cutting heads along with several tips and tubes, guages, cart, 2 sets of hoses, propane tank, several strikers, cleaners and welding lenses. Anyway, looking everything over at the sale and again today and there are no id marks or names on the handles or cutting heads and was wondering if there is any way to really id what makes they are? If I took them to a local welding store, would they be able to id them?

Thanks

Wil

Hi Wil,

If you type "cutting torch" in the search box on eBay, you may be able to match your setup to the picture of one that's up for auction. Keep at it for a few weeks and it's almost certain that you'll see one like yours.

All the best, Stan

Look on the welding & cutting tips for the tip designation. I believe each manufacturer uses a different system for identifying tips, and they're probably not interchangeable..... but then, I could be wrong.

It's very possible that they could come mighty close . May be able to match up some of the tips which will give you an idea . Good luck , Ken
