I Have an old Knipco heater Model f 98
where is a good place to get parts and a manual for it ?? anyone knows ??

Grainger Industral supply . they have stores nation wide . they also have a telephone # for parts 1-800-323-0620 . acording to their catalog they have full line availiablity OEM parts for knipco . i have used them before .

Dosen't light? Is it getting fuel? Check fuel filter. Could also be that it needs new plugs.

Farm and Fleet carries both.

I think it is getting fuel ,just not lighting??
seems like the end is getting damp with fuel.I never worked on one of these and don't know anything about them,, found a mouse nest inside but didn't see any chewed wires.How would i check for spark?? Jump across the 2 wires like a oil furnace?? where is fuel filter on it ?? Model f-98 knipco ?? Thanks Dave

Dave,

No idea how to check for spark. If your Knipco is like mine, the fule filter should be inside a silve cup-like thing that screws off.

I had a F-10 Knipco that I dug out of the barn and cleaned the mouse nests out of. I plugged it in, and everything seemed to work OK, so I bought new Kerosene and a fuel filter and filled it up. I fired it up, and got about 7 seconds of good heat out of it before the motor siezed up. No idea what happened. I threw it away and bought a new Propane one from Menards.
