Wife and BSA Troop got me a handheld GPS for Christmas. Seems to be accurate within 9' ft. Anyone know of a good site to discuss these devices?

It is a Garmin Legend and while looking for topo s/w I can only find Mapsource (scale is 1:100,000) which is nearly useless for laying out a BSA hike in advance.

Thanks!

I have the Missouri set of these topo maps on CD from National Geographic. They have all five scales of topo maps that you can print for the entire state, the mouse pointer gives lat/long or utm coordinates where it points, and you can set up routes and waypoints and upload them to your GPS unit or just mark them on the map. Check out the state series maps on the website.
