I just got started using hotmail and have a question? How do I resend an email when it is "returned" as "delivery status failed". Do I have to retype the letter each time? I did not copy to my sent items.

Most probable cause of failed delivery is wrong email address. Easiest way to clean up the clinging text is to highlight the body of your text and cut-n-past it into a new message with correct email address. This will clean up the subject box as well since you will be reentering that too.

Just use the "forward" tool and send it on to the correct address. You can also edit the email to eliminate all the stuff that is added when it comes back to you

Thanks, but how do you edit? in reply to vrickster, 01-15-2006 04:15:18
I'm not the smartest. How do you edit the failed delivery message, etc? It won't let me highlight and use delete button.

It will if you use "reply" or whatever Hotmail calls it first. That allows you to edit it.
