I just left Home Depot where they had a sale on a Ridgid Cordless Set that included, a 1/2" hammerdrill, a 1/4" impact driver, a flashlite, a 6 1/2 circular saw, a v/speed reciprocating saw, a dual port batt. chger and three batteries. All 18volt. And if you regester it with Ridgid the batteries are guaranteed for LIFE. But I can"t find out what"s LIFE.

That's odd, because the Ridgid battery policy only applies to purchases after a specific date, which I know is less than a year ago. Maybe the store manager was just being nice in your case Vet.

I bought a rigid cordless drill one day at home depot and carried it back the next. Have a 18volt dewalt that would eat it up!But... they do have a better warranty for what it's worth!

I heard from many 2~3 years ago that the "lifetime" warrantee on their stuff was CANCELLED!!! Seems that "lifetime" warrantee applied to something stuck to the bottom of their shoe! Did that just apply to their prior "lifetime" warrantee or did they re-instate it for their older "lifetime" tools too?
Do they give you a new drill too when they change the way the battery fits the tool?
