cleaning air nailers

What would be the best spray/product to use to clean a roofing and framing nailer? I am talking about the outside workings of the nailers. I only put oil inside everyday when in use.

Probably should not stick my Nose in here but I have been known to use Starting Fluid to clean my Nailers and Stapler.Only on the outside however.

Carb cleaner works well too.

WD40 Works good as a cleaner I spray my tools with it all the time.
