I have an oil fired heater that has worked fine until today. It fires and runs but the heater pulsates badly. Whats the problem?

I'm willing ot bet its a partially clogged fuel inlet in the tank. I vaguely recall having this happen many years ago to my 90,000 BTU Reddy Heater and I ended up pulling out the pick up tube and everything to clean it.

Make sure your air filter on the back is not clogged. This is a carbon vane air pump that supplies air pressure for the fuel nozzle. If the foam gets rotten the pump can suck the rotten foam in. If you have obstructed air flow in the pump or tubes its the same as obstructed fuel flow.

I replaced the filter with a Briggs and Stratton foam filter that I cut with scissors to fit. No oil, keep it dry foam.
