Any one have any info on these? Found two for sale, but can't find out age or other info. Looked on quincy site. He wants 450 each but they have 3ph motors. Would have to get new motors.

Simply the best compressor you can buy. However, make sure they have been maintained properly, or they could be dogs, just like any other machine. You could probably sell one for the price of two of those, if they are in reasonable shape. Look at the tag on the tank, it will tell you when it was built. The compressor should be roughly that old, if it is all original.

I"ve got a 325-7 from 1959 and I love it. The number after the dash is the revision number. You can come close to the year by going forward or backward from my date, though I don"t have an exact reference. Roger P is the recognized expert here on them, though he"s posting under a different name now--RogerXXX or something--his handle got "stolen" at some point. You can write Quincy directly--they"re pretty good a getting back to you. I got a bunch of info from them like the build sheet, instruction manual, and spare parts stuff. The girl I talked to is Julie. By the way, $350 is a steal, even with having to buy a new motor.

Make that $450, not $350, but still a good price compared to what you"d pay for a similar compressor new.
