Well, what did you get? Only thing I got was a Vice Grip brand pipe wrench.Got pipe wrenches running out my ears now, but this is one of those quick slip adjust kind.Maybe I'll keep it.With everything run in PVC,not much need for pipe wrenches anymore. Not much fun if you don't get some new tools for Xmas is it.lol, bob

I got 6 tape measures in my stocking. Now I can have one lying around in the big barn, the tool shed, the house, the basement, the other shed etc. etc.

She is so sick and tired of telling me where I last left a tool.

The boys and wife got me some self retracting air hose reels for the shop. I am tickled.

Guess I moaned enough about have to always move air lines around. Once I get them mounted now I have to plumb the shop with air. Just been using a manifold with air lines straight from the compressor before.

Also got me a Gamo pellet gun to keep the "pests" under control.

My wife got me the locking flex Craftsman ratcheting wrenches, and the Craftsman wobble extensions I"ve been wanting.

I love it when she buys me tools. Makes me feel validated, lol!

Hope everyone had a good Christmas.
Not too many tools this year, floor jack and some of those box-end ratchet wrenches. Somebody's paying attention, I needed the floor jack, old one's only been rebuilt a few times. I can't wait to try out those ratchet wrenches on something. Never can have too many tools!

End up using a pipe wrench every once in a while, sometimes not on pipes. You can never have too many tools. Never know when you"ll need something unusual. Or when you"ll have to improvise with a tool not necessarily designed for the job. Keep it and be happy!

Odd you should mention that. Kids gave me a Homer Despot gift card, I just spent an hour cruising the tool section and couldn't find anything I wanted/needed.

Picked up a set of those Magic Miracle Rounded-off Nut Removers and set 'em back down 3 or 4 times. Just can't convince myself they ain't another Ronco come-on, like those useless Robo-grip pliers.

They werk problem izz theirs not enoufh of"em only fit a few size"izz. the real set of"em will have over 40 sockets and fit most enny thing you will come across course you will need to shell out $300 on the snap-on truck fer"em. First set I got had 20 or so size"izz and I never had the one I needed till I got the second smaller set. They are a real time saver, git"ya out of a jam tool and for me worth every pennie. They will werk on enny thing even hard"in round head tamper prof screws. The set you seen will only werk on a few size"izz and you will soon find you never have the rite one and think they were a wast of money.

nut removers in reply to Fawteen, 12-26-2005 07:58:14
Can't speak for the ones that Home depot sells, but the ones Craftsman sells are amazing. They are excellent for pulling off manifold nuts that have rusted a size or two too small. These are the ones that have a helical cut to the inside of them that somehow bites into the rusty nut. Makes ya want a set of right handed ones to install the rusty nuts right back on if you are a tightrwad like me...lol...

A while back I posted about a shop to house intercom.. and that gotta lot of laughs. Last night when things settled down the woman brought my gifts to me, a mag-lite and a mixer. Thats right I said a mixer!!!! If I wanna eat good I do the cooking round here. Did you hear me?, I said a MIXER, I"m still ROTFL. Hope I get an apron next year so I don"t make a mess on bib-overs.

my daughter got me different srew, bolt and nut removers from SEARS. Must have paid attention about ten years ago when I last worked on something. Now just driving myself crazy hanging a little dap of drywall and then sanding it. Started this project 6 years ago so right on schedule. Repeating about once a month have two more sections to go and will have the basement done. May have to wait a couple years or Big Fred will throw the book at me for being too fast

I can prove I've been a "very good boy "this year. Vickie got me a new Dewalt 12" sliding compound miter saw with the laser guide. My old Delta makes a lot of bearing noise and the positive locks arn't to positive anymore. Later, Nat
