Walbro Carb On Poulan Chainsaw

I was in the process of cleaning out the Walbro carb on my dad's Poulan chainsaw. I tried to remove the inlet port (for the fuel line) which I thought was threaded. I found out it wasn't and snapped it off flush with the carb. The dealer wants to sell me a new carb and says the port is not available apart from the carb. Is this true? Any ideas? Anyone with a spare carb? The carb is a Walbro WA 19A and the saw is a Poulan S25-CVA-38-CCM. Thanks.

yes hes correct it probably isnt available seperatly, depending how its broke off clean the area well and try some jbweld or loctiteweld epoxy , this stuff worked well for me in the past on this sort of repair, new carb is best, try local reputable repair shop for used one and be sure to take your old one with you there are numbers on it to specifically identify it. eg. wa175. good luck

Hi Jeremy, did your Dad just give you one of "those" smiles that fathers give? LOL

You can get a barbed brass fitting with MPT at any NAPA and just tap the existing hole for the new fitting. You may have to check with a hobbie supply store for the fitting as it's pretty small. They use them on model aircraft engines. If you don't have a store near by try asking for a 800 number for Tower Hobbies and I know they have them.

I have a poulan chainsaw that needs the carburetor cleaned and a kit put in. Is this something I need to let a pro do or could I(inexperienced, but not skeered;), with some advice, do-it-myself?
