one of my hydraulic cylinders on my ford tractor has been getting condensation in the cylinder, I can't figure out why, it doesn't leak oil and the water freezes in the winter and i can't use it.
any suggestions or reasons why you think it might do this are welcome please!! I thank you in advance!

Bill: I don't know which model Ford you have, but the one here is
a 9N. All of my cylinders are single action, so the fluid only comes back out of the cylinder when the weight pushes the piston
back in the cyl. Air has to come in around the shaft to let the piston
down. The seal at the shaft end has to be leaking more than it should
or the trouble would be in more than one cyl. I would suggest replacing
the seal on that cyl. and cleaning it out while it is apart to remove
any water that is trapped inside. Do you live in a very moist environment?
my e-mail address is enclosed, this intrigues me!
