LP gas for cutting

I am thinking about changing my torch over to LP gas and would like to know what is required in parts. Do you use the old regulator or do you need a new one? I guess you would also need a new tip.Is anyone using this setup and are you satisfied with the results?

Been cutting iron with propane for 10 years and all I did was switch the tips. Very good results.

Nothing other than a cutting tip made for propane (2 piece tip) is needed. Cutting with propane works well on thicker metal and is cheaper than acetelyen but you will notice increased oxygen consumption. The preheat takes a bit longer aswell. So without getting to technical about the difference in cone temps and fuel consumption, give it a shot, it may work for you and your cutting needs.

you need different hose if yours is older. "T" grade, i think. most hose is t grade now. that, and the tip, is all you need. in the demolition business propane is all thats used for cutting. works just fine and is way cheaper.
