My Grandpa used to have a push drill and it broke. When we went back to sears (15 years later) they had stopped making them. He has wanted one for a long time and I was going to buy him one for Christmas but I can't find anybody that still makes them. Anybody know where or if I can get one? Thanks

My Dad was a Wooden Boat Builder and his Drill and Power[by hand] Screw Driver of choice was a Craftsman push unit. When I got around to useing those sort of Tools my first one was a Stanley "Yankee' Push Drill. I have several of those in different sizes and also have one made by Great Falls Tools.

If you're gonna use one of these, that's the kind to have. I have the one that belonged to my Great-grandfather, and was passed down father-to son to me. It'll go to my son someday, and in spite of LOTS of use, will likely be good enough to outlast him!

Are you talking about a Stanley Yankee Screwdriver? They used to come with drill blades also.
