Husqvarna 51 oiler leaking on bench

I just got a nice used 51. Why does the bar oil leak out at the bar while sitting? I know its not supposed to. I have a coworker who says he gets good deals from Sears on returned new saws that do that. He says all you have to do is loosen the oil fill cap when done cutting. I'm here to tell you, between my dad and I we've had probably eight saws and I never loosened a cap yet and never had one leak a puddle of bar oil, until now.

I have two Stihl saws and one leaks bar oil and the other doesn"t. It"s a mystery to me.

As far as I know, all Husky saws leak. The joke around here is the "Husky puddle". But I do like my Husky saw anyway.

Yep, the Husky dealer told me the same thing. The only thing you can do is drain the oil after using it.
