Like a Palmer or a Hot-PotII for melting small amounts of lead and pouring fishing jigs. Any aroung collecting dust?

I've used an aluminum pan on a gas camp stove. Worked well.

Never used an elec one. Small ones are about 35 bucks and a small over a fire ladel is about 15 bucks. I found a ladle years ago that the plumbers used to pour lead around the cast iron sewer pipe joints. When I was a kid, I used to make fishing weights out of discarded wheel weights. I just used an old heavy cooking pan.

stores or catalogs that offer ammo reloading equipment have a selection of lead melting pots, either electric or simple set on the stove type.

Check midwayusa.com ..... they stock reloader supplies. Recommend the Lee Production Pot 4. Would work well for what you have in mind. Have had one for years, cast literally thousands of bullets with it. Midway catolog #637732. (Have no interest in Lee Precision, or MidwayUSA, just a satisfied customer.)
