As I understand this, you want to unscrew the pump body off the jack, removing the pump body and piston and install a pipe fitting and plumb it to a power pump? Problems, there is most likely a check valve assembly about the size of a nickle at the bottom of the pump bore. It allows fluid in from the resvoir and allows fluid out to the ram and keeps pressure from coming back into the pump reservoir. This would have to remain in the jack, in which case you would have to have something to screw down tight on top of it like the original pump body did, to make it seal, so you don't have internal leaks. Secondly, when you release the valve on the jack to collapse it, the fluid from the ram is returned to the reservoir, and not to your external power pump. You would have to remove the fill plug from the side of the jack and install a fitting to allow overflow from the jack to return to the external pump's reservoir. Just doesn't seem real practical to me. Charles
