I have searched and found some photos on a repair, still need more
info. I have the service manual and it is very vague in that area. It
tells how overhaul the whole unit but not just how to get the control
levers off. My lever on the side of the hydraulic unit, the one that
attaches to the speed linkage and would be the last to go on last upon
reassemble, has a lots of slop in it. It won't stay centered over the
spring that is in the crocked piece. How do you get that piece off and
how to take the slop off. If I take the whole unit off I would
probably see how to get it off, I thought there might be a way to get
it off with the hydraulic unit still in the tractor.
The photos I found show welding up the area around that spring. That
isn't where my problem is. My problem is where it attaches to the
shaft that goes into the hydraulic unit.

I posted this the wrong place. Can a moderator move it to garden tractors? I tried this once and it didn't show up. Now it will probably be here twice.
