I read a post from archives that mentioned a gent by the name of Ron Jacobson and that he made high quality sleeve pulling plates. I tried contacting him with the old email address in the post, but apparently that address is no longer valid. Does any body have an idea how to contact him. Thanks, J.L.

I bought a sleeve puller on the ebay for my Ford. It is a solid billet of steel machined with a lip and a knurled handle. Very nicely made by a guy in SC. It is a bit heavy, but I am looking forward to trying it.

He sayes he makes custom pullers too. If you are interested, you might try emailing him via ebay.

What type of engines are you removing the sleeves from? Most anyone with a lathe can make you a plate especially if they are wet sleeves. I have seen them removed with a good hardwood block. Questions?

It's a 43 Farmall H. I found a neighbor who had a puller and plate and borrowed it this morning. Had several good suggestions on the Farmall forum and spent most of the day trying to just get one sleeve out. No success. Talked to a Mech at Legend Hill antique tractors in Fredericksburg late this afternoon who says he can get them out and install the new sleeves in 1-2 hours for $45 per hour. About decided that will be my Christmas present to myself-before I do some damage that will really cost me. Thanks
