I have the orange plastic fabric style fence, and last year I tried various ways to fasten it to tposts using electrical tape, wire, wire ties, etc, but they all seemed to fail eventually and I had to constantly maintain the fence. Does anybody have a failsafe method? I was thinking about cloth strips this year.

Hi Allen. Iwent to all plastic a couple of years ago. I put up 600 feet every year and have NEVER had to touch it once I put it up. Heres what I do.
1. roll out fence.
2. drive a post every 10 feet. No more than 10 ft!
3.pull up each section and hook the fence on the tops of the posts streching it as you go.
4.use wood lath to sandwhich the fence between the post and the wire.
5.3 wires per post.
I would go out and take a pic of how I do it but I,m north of Waterloo and it,s dark and snowing pretty good right now. Glad I got mine up 2 weeks ago.

Black tie wraps. They are not broken down by UV rays and should last through the winter - no problem. PS not the cheap ones. Jeffcat

Plastic zip ties work well for me. Use about 3-4 per post.

Position your fence on the windward side of the posts, so the posts help support the fence.
