6-volt amp guages

Hi Just wondering if there is a special guage that has to be used on 6-volt system.That is with a positive ground.One of my post terminals turn when try to tighten a nut on it.

Bailer..... ....like Bob sez, volts don't matter to ampmeters, just the full scale range. (they're usually good to 500volts ennyways) Ampmeters don't care, positive or negative ground. But you care.....kinda.

We've all been trained to associate a (+) reading with charging the battery. And it is a trivial excersize to change ampmeter wiring so that it reads correctly. Usually use a known battery discharge condition to validate ampmeter polaritiy, that way you don't have to have yer engine runnin' to make yer genny charge yer battery. Known battery discharge, turn yer headlights on, ampmeter should indicate (-) reading. Simple, eh?..... ....respectfully, Dell

Get one with the proper range of amps.

6 or 12 Volts is irrelevant to an ammeter.
