Some of you machinist's out there tell me how to tell what number morse taper I have, what to measure and how? Thanks in advance.

Not all are Morse there is Brown and Sharpe number seven,Pratt and Whitney etc.

You forgot "Jarno" taper, it made more sence than any of the others , hence was left in oblivion as it was to easy to interpret.
