not talking about crewcab truck, just the extra cab truck...which of the big three has the most room in the back seat area. chevy looks like it has the biggest entry door. my older ford extra cab is a little cramped and entry to the rear seat is difficult.

After going to four full sized doors. I'll never consider an "extended cab" pickup again.

Yeah I'd say Dodge has the biggest cab. They just came out with a mega cab which has already been mentioned, designed to have as much leg room at the front seats, and the rear seats recline. Dodge also has a really good diesel, but I'm unsure weither Cummins is better than a Duramax. Dodge always has boasted about having the biggest cabs. I just wonder when they are going to start building larger trucks again, biggest they make right now is a one ton.

Ford has had this cab - crew cab with an extended cab behind it - since the 70's They called it the "Long Ranger". Sold a bunch of them to cattle men. Dodge had a smattering of them in the late 80's and early 90's, but VERY rare. You can still special order one from Ford.

I think a crew cab is to have 4 full sized normal opening doors and the club/extended cabs either have no doors back there or newer ones have a door or 2 you can open after the front door/s are opened.

Thanks. I kinda figured Crew cab was for the "work crew", implying 4 full seze doors. Glenn F.

Get the Dodge with the cummins and the six speed and it'll still be going when you cant drive anymore.
Ive got a 3/4 ton dodge and a 1 ton ford, both diesels and the dodge will outpull the ford any day with any load. Matter of fact the dodge has 205,000+ and havent spent a dime other than normal maint. Ford has been in the shop so much im not sure what color it is any more. It most likely will be sitting on a dodge dealers used lot real soon
