I just fired off an e-mail. My kid had crashed my home computer for the past couple of days.

Your place of work is closing just before Christmas? My sympathy and I'm certain sympathy from everyone else here. It's a real kick getting "rejected" and left wondering how to keep a roof over the families heads and food on the table. Somebody tried to console me one time with " If the crisis it doesn't kill you it will make you stronger". At the time I almost choked the person trying to help.

I have new employment lined up with a buddy of mine who owns a machine building company, I have known him for 16 years. But I would like to know when I am going to get the axe from the old current place, so I can inform the new employer. Email me okay.

It is good to hear that you have something lined up.

The company my son worked for at Eight Mile and 275 had a cutback so he was out of work for a week before finding new employment. His new job is out near The GM Tech Center and he lives in South Lyon so he has to take the 696 & 75 corridors every morning and night for 50 miles. It is particularly hair raising as it seems the way to drive is pedal to the metal and aim. It's a job so he does the drive.

Sorry to hear you"re getting screwed out of a job, but glad to hear you"ve got another lined up. My neighbor down the road lost his job last week at his family"s machine shop...they closed the entire place down. It"s getting tough out there.
