hydraulic's are working ,but when you lift something as long as you are moving it holds it steady but if you stop the tractor are turn engine off what ever you have lifted lowers pretty fast.what should I be looking for?

Look for leaks internally. Either at the cylinder, which is up under the cover, or donw at the pressure relief valve. Both locations are pretty common sources of this problem.

Normal but thicker oil might help or new piston rings
