Diameter of feed pipe from outdoor furnace?

Sometime I plan to install an outdoor furnace with an insulated pipe containing the two feed lines.

At the moment I am framing a new basement door, cutting the size of the opening in the 2' stone wall from 42" to 32" to allow space alongside for 1. dryer vent 2. bathroom vent 3. central vacuum vent 4. outdoor electrical lines 5. water tap.

It would make sense to break the basement floor and put a pipe below the sill which could hold the furnace infeed, as well. Would the commercial pipe fit into an 8" sonotube? Better idea?

Thanks.

Better idea.Make your outdoor furnace a hotwater boiler. I used 3/4" pipe to heat house, greenhouse and shop with two loops. Made insulation box with 2" blue board glued together with 400 builders adhesive. System has been operating over 10 years.

Rod : there is guy in Frankville not to far from you that is installing a a new pipe into his new shop. It is two pipes wrapped in foam in a 8 or 10 inch tile drain pipe . He said thats the way he got it from his supplier. He owns Coote Collison in Frankville. I'm Sure he can help you out I also used 4" pvc pipe for mine when i made my own up then built a 12" square box from styrofoam and glued it together and wrapped it in heavy gauge plastic. I also added two 1/2 " pipes from the house to the greenhouse for hot and cold water and ran a rope along with it so I could add a phone line later. Its been four years now and havent paid a dollar for heat yet. I heat my house ,greenhouse and shop, hot water and sometimes the pool

My outdoor furnace water line is in a 4" pvc pipe with 2" of ridgid foam insulation around it. Came as a unit in 10" lengths. If you used this type, you might want to go with 10" sonotube. It might fit in 8", but could be really tight. Mine goes thru the block wall. No sonotube, just the insulated pvc. Gus
