I picked up a Sears chipper-vac cheap that had been set in the back of a shed, probably after one use, and forgotten about.

I didn't get any documentation with it.

It's not at all ancient, and in darn nice shape.

I went to the Sears parts site (I'm not a Sears guy), and got nowhere with the model #, trying to pull up parts diagrams, etc., yet some of you guys on here seem to be able to pull up all kinds of info on Sears stuff!

Data plate model # is 247.699730.

Am I doing something wrong, or is it an oddball, not in the Sears "system"?

(It appears to be an Agri-Fab machine.)

Bob-the 247 # shows it as an MTD-Modern Tool & Die
not to be confused with 219 # which is MTD yard products. Doubt that this will help unless you can find the item on a Modern Tool & Die search. Jack

I had that problem with my chipper/vac. Called the 800 number and the lady said "Oh, that's in our OTHER database, not available on line." She took the info over the phone, went right to it and got me the parts I needed.
