Hooking up snowplow lights question

Hi all- I have a question about hooking up the snowplow lights to my 88 Blazer. What I would like to do is take the black and green wires from the plow lights and wire them directly to the LOW beam headlight. (On my blazer the low beams are the top headlamps, high beams on the bottom, so the lows are clear of the plow when its raised anyways..) This way BOTH the low beams and the plow lights would be on ANYTIME I turn on the lights. I tested both plow lights and they work. Is this as simple as tapping into the black and green wires at the lowbeam headlight plug? Im asking because the lowbeam headlight is 3 prong..the third prong has 2 white wires going into it- not sure what they do??? Just so you understand - Im just looking for an easy way to wire this since the truck is NOT road worthy and is ONLY used to plow my drive sooo I don�t really want to get too carried away here trying to set this up. As usual appreciate any advise from the experts. dave

Please don't tap into the origional wireing and try to run both sets of lights at once. The wireing and the switch aren't heavy enough to handle the double load. Either get a "origional type plow light switch" - an either or situtuation or wire your plow lights to seperate switches.

Most plow lights are hooked up "either - or" That way, you don't run both sets of headlights at once. Highway patrol takes a dim view of running more than one set of headlights at a time. What the dealers do is to install a switch on the dash that selects vehicle or plow headlights individually. I put an auxillary switch on the dash for mine. Used a center off - double throw switch. Up for brights, down for dims, and center off. Then I hooked parking and turn lights to existing circuit. Run parking lights when using plow lights. That way, I can run all head lights when out in the field, and just have to be careful not to have more than one set on when on the road.
