Thanks for the advice. Went shopping saturday local welding supply hpuse had the ac/dc Lincoln for $414.77+tax. Went in Home Depot in Macon, Ga. and bought the same exact machine for @337.00+tax and went across the four lane to the new Harbor Freight store and had enough money left to buy a parts washer outfit with the $75.00 saved! Had to travel 60 miles to Macon to visit our daughter and family, so the trip was not extra. It would be nice to have a mig, but can't justify the cost for occasional use. Thanks for advice!! LGD

Gene

Good choice, bought mine about a month ago, after not having a welder for 5 years. I got the same welder and I don't think you will be disapointed. Think about doing as I did and add about 30' of leads by cuting the lines and putting in a tweeco connector. I did this after consulting a technician with my local welding supply who carried Lincoln. I have seen no noticable amp drop or duty cycle difference. The # line I used was a #2. Good luck !!

reguards,

Bill
