Chris, from your previous post it sounds like you are very familiar with the quirks in the Grand Cherokee. I fight with mine every time I have to work on it. My 97 has a water leak under the dash on the passenger side front floorboard. I think it is condensation from the A/C. Problem is that it does not go out thru the firewall like it should, it goes under the carpet, soaks the front and back pass side carpet. Even had standing water, 1/2 to 1" sloshing around side to side under the base for the rear seat. Tried to put some silicon with my finger around the bottom part of the plastic part that looks like it is supposed to go thru the firewall. No luck, still leaks. Ideas? thanks

Doug, I can tell you how to fix it. T.S.B. fron Jeep says,find the round plug under the dash on the passenger side on the firewall, if you look close you will see a V inside of the plug(casting indention in the plug)drill a 1/4in. hole at the bottem inside of the V you then can run a wire into the hole to clean it out (I used an air blow gun, one little blast and it was fixed)DO NOT DRILL AT THE BOTTEM OUTSIDE OF THE V. THen plug the hole with a little RTV. Your Dealer has a TSB on this problem.

I should also said Gene is right, the drain is plugged up. I had 2in of water in under the back seat when we found it.

I had exactly the same symptoms. The problem isn't a plugged condensation line. You have a bad heater core which is leaking radiator water. It's an expensive but necessary fix.
