I am considering buying a 3/8 drive cordless impact wrench and am wondering if anyone could give me there opinions on this tool. I would be using it mostly for lawnmower repair.

Which brands offer a 3/8 drive cordless impact wrench?

Where can one be purchaced? I have not seen to many of them in stores

Will a cordless impact driver with 3/8 bit give me the same performance as a 3/8 cordless impact wrench? Thanks for any info, Case400

For what it is worth, I bought a Harbor Freight 12 volt 1/2 inch impact wrench to throw in the box of my equipment hauler trailer and I love it. I always have a 12 volt battery nearby, whether on the trailer, the truck or the equipment I am hauling and this wrench has never failed me yet. The first time I used it I thought it was broke because it just made a high pitched wining noise. But it finally hit and the torque was really impressive. Just my two cents here. Hope it helps.

i own a 3/8 and a 1/2 snap-on cordless impacts. i"ve had the 3/8 for five years now and the 1/2 for 3 years. i abuse the snot out of each of them. i use the 3/8 for all kinds of engine work and can rotate tires all day on two batteries with the 1/2. they are expensive but worth every penny if your tools are your life.

Got a harbor freight 18 volt "drill master". It will pull some car wheel nuts, but not the real tight ones. A very handy machine.

I see the ones at Harbor Freight are getting cheaper; don't know what the torque is. My brother keeps mentioning that he's going to get on to carry on the combine, but hasn't bought one yet.

My buddy got a 1/2" SnapOn from his wife for Christmas. It seems to me that it has as much tourque as an 1/2" I've ever used. He can change out the shovels on a 50 foot cultivator and not run out of battery.

Have several at work, and they are unbelievable. I have seen one twist off brand new 1/2" bolts. We used them to bolt overhead hoist together, and they can tighten a bolt tighter than any air one we used.
