i have a poulan 3050. i finally got it running good and now the oiler i gtving me problems.. i took it apart and cleaned it real good i thought. put it back and it still dont work. what is the right way to clean it????? ?. bill

Most of the newer poulan saws have a gear driven oiler, plastic gears that will get eaten out real easy, then they do not oil. Take off the bar and chain, there is a little cover there, take it off, the oiler shoudl be right there. A new oiler should be about 12-15.00 depending on where you are at.

Vabill I had this same problem years ago you will have to trace the oiler back to the carb there you will find the oil pump that runs the oiler take it apart you will find a diaphram with a long spindle buy a new one and at the same time buy a new gasket, after I did this everything ran good again.

Many times the oil hole in the bar itself is the culprit.

Not real sure on that saw. Used to work on saws a lot back in the 50's 60's & 70's, but sort of lost touch with them now. Sorry!
