Air compressor bleed down

I purchased an used air compressor, Sears with a quincy pump and true 2 horse motor.

My question, after I let it pump up (130lbs) it will bleed down over the course of three days or so, to zero.

I cannot find any leaks, checked with a squirt bottle and soapy water. Any ideas where and why it would be leaking down?

Thank you

Follow the same steps you would to find a vacuum leak in a car. Use a small piece of hose about 3 feet long and put it to your ear. move the other hose end around the unit and all of a sudden you will hear a loud hiss. There is a check valve just before the tank that could leak. The other is an unload valve on the side of the pump itself. The hose should fid the leak. Jeffcat

Probaby leaking down through an inline check valve after the pump (if it has one). If not then its leaking down back through the compressor itself. Then lastly it can be leaking down through a small hole somewhere in the tank. Good luck hunting.
